Testimony in Congress

Sister Genevieve Kunkel, SSND has become famous by aging gracefully. On March 23, 2004, at the age of 93, she testified before Congress on the merits of the Nun Study. Funding for the study comes from a major grant provided by the National Institute on Aging. Sister Genevieve and Dr. Snowdon were well-received on Capitol Hill because they brought enthusiasm for the research as well as accountability for the money they have received.
